Hi I’m Jeanine- a freelance writer, researcher, storyteller, and podcaster. I began my writing journey nine years ago by sharing one story at a time. I’m a an advocate for mental health, genetic disorder research, and neurodiversity. I spend my spare time in arenas being a proud, hockey loving Canadian and creator of stories- written and spoken. My life’s passions give me strength, sovereignty, and purpose.
My why is my family who keep me feeling inspired, loved; and able to share my journey on my social media platforms. I’m on a never ending quest to drink a hot cup of tea, while closing the browser tabs in my neurodivergent brain. Neurology and genetic research are my jam, and discussing it lights me up from the inside out! I love to sing, dance, and perform in theatre. Which led me to creating a Tik Tok account and podcast on Spotify at:
You can follow my journey on Facebook as well. Thank you for stopping by to read and share your time at my house. π€π

Hi there, I came by to say a big thank you for the follow. Sounds like you keep yourself busy there – I do wonder, having retired, how I ever had time to work and do all the things I did !! have a wonderful weekend π
Hello and welcome to my blog. Thank you for the follow as well. Yes my life is never boring that’s for sure. I think boredom is a luxury I can’t afford to have I’d rather be relaxing than bored. All the best to you. ?
Me too – I don’t have time to be bored. When my kids complained of being bored, I asked them what that meant. They couldn’t tell me! I think they were worried I would find something to ‘unbore’ them!!
I do that all the time when my son tells me I’m bored. Go be bored with your laundry basket that’s needed to be put away for 2 weeks. ?

Hi there, Jsack Mom! I found your blog as it was mentioned on another mommy blogger’s post. I just wanted to leave some fellow mom love. I really enjoyed your blog and reading through your posts. I am fairly new to the blogging world as well, if you would like to check it out.
All the best,
Rachele
Hi Rachele thank you so much for finding me. I will come and visit you next. I’ve been blogging for 3 years now and I have found that WordPress is an incredibly supportive community. Welcome to the club. ?
I attempt to keep organized; my fiction with Carrot Ranch is here:
https://julesinflashyfiction.wordpress.com/
I also have a daily short verse site, Gems and a longer verse site Strands.
Thank you Jules I look forward to reading your story. I love verses and strands of prose. ?
Depending on where I post…I always have the links to the other two blogs that I have, at the bottom of the ‘current’ post so you can also find them that way.
My one son had nightmares for a bit when younger – now our younger one (they are both ‘men’ now) sleeps with one of those breathing masks.
I think (while I still get up frequently in the night) the first real good nights sleeping didn’t occur until they were both out of the house π
My youngest son was very close to getting those CPAP machines to help him breathe. His ENT didn’t recommend it as it would change his facial bone structure. I also found out he has asthma and with his medication his tonsils shrunk back down to normal. He no longer requires surgery to remove them or a CPAP! It was a blessed day when he slept through the night continuously at the age of 5. ?β€
Our youngest had to have both his tonsils and adenoids taken out – might be part of his issues now. But hes taking care of that – the mask helps him to not sound like a chain saw when snoring.
As a parent, we change as they do. Best to you. π
It’s really crazy how inflammation can cause so many problems. My husband and I will be getting assessed as well for OSA. It runs on both sides of my family. I’m familiar with the chainsaw snoring here too. Wishing you the best as well happy new year Jules! ??
